about

The mind of Owen Mclean appears to be a chaotic place - the 22 tracks which rarely exceed 2 minutes presented here are impossible to keep up with in the best possible way. This is the work of an imagination that cannot sit still, a place where distorted yet absolutely familiar samples crash head on against solid walls of pulsing noise, where slick pop has been dragged kicking and screaming into the future, forced to adapt or risk self destruction. Owen's world feels like it could completely collapse at any moment, but always soars when the rubble beckons. Imagine James Ferraro scoring a theatrical adaptation of a JG Ballard short and you're getting warm.
